Fake News – a Critical Issue for Communicators

March 14, 2017 By Glynn Young

Fake News PRSA St Louis

It’s coming from the alt right and the alt left, from “factories” in the U.S. and worldwide, and from individuals who like to troll social media. And sometimes it comes from “senior Administration sources” who have their own agendas.

“It” is fake news, and it’s corrupting public discourse and the channels of communication in America.

I have a post at the Public Relations Society of America – St. Louis web site on an upcoming program on fake news. PRSA St. Louis and Weber Shandwick are hosting a discussion on this critical issue on March 22 at the Weber Shandwick offices. See the PRSA St. Louis web site for details.
